On certain property profiles, you will find the estimate of municipal and school taxes, the standardized rate, the taxe base as well as the total amount.
What is the difference between the actual amount and the calculated one by JLR ?
The differences are largely due to permanent works which cannot be estimated on our side. For 2024, we average a difference of 1.3% with the actual municipal tax.
Why is there no tax estimate available on the property profile ?
JLR offers municipal tax estimates for these cities only: Gatineau, Laval, Lévis, Montréal, Québec, Terrebonne, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke, urban agglomeration of Longueuil, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Repentigny, Mirabel, Drummondville, Granby and Mascouche.
In addition, only residential categories are considered: single-family homes, condos, duplexes, triplexes, cottages and mobile homes.
Finally, the assessment roll must be up to date on the property profile. JLR updates new assessment rolls annually when they become available, usually in the spring.
